If you are looking at the volume of people it is Yahoo Messenger and then MSN.
Features wise I like MSN. It has MSN spaces associated with every MSN ID. This means now every one can have their own web presence on the Internet Sphere. They can start their own blog and lots more.
Skype is a good messenger but will take a little time to gather a crowd of people to start using it.
