How to use two gtalk ?

While your question seems genuine I don't see any use of two separate gTalks.

1. If you want to chat simultaneously with more than one person, you can do it with one gTalk only

2. If you want to talk with more than one person, then there is conference.

3. If there are two persons sitting side-by-side and wanting to use gTalk simultaneously on the same system, you need two sets of monitors/keyboards/mouse in lan and in that case you can use the same gTalk with two different IDs.

So, where is the need of two gTalks on the same system? Pl enlighten me.
How to use two gtalk ?
Install the application twice, choosing different directories (like programfiles/gmail and programfiles/gmail2). That way you can open the two seperate applications. Otherwise you can download an application like gaim or trillian that allows you to use the Jabber protocol, and you can configure all of your IM clients into one. The problem with this is that you sometimes loose features like voice and webcam.
Reply:Go to gtalk icon in program menu (or desktop) and right click on it.

Select properties and then go to shortcut menu.

In the Target field, add "-nomutex" without double quotes in the end (after a space).

Click on apply and ok.

Now you can open as many instances of gtalk as you want .
Reply:Talk in gtalk standalone

talk in gmail gtalk
